Not to be nit-picky, but the slime/flesh on the knight’s right ring finger comes and goes between different panels. It’s there on panels 2 and 6, but not on 1 or 3.
It’s a defensive mechanism – Rusty pulled them back under his carapace when he suddenly fell, so they’d be less likely to get damaged!
