Well, of course. If they draw attention to themselves, law enforcement will have more trouble finding an excuse to not investigate. And nobody really wants an open confrontation with the coppers.
Notice how those important-looking arcane symbols that used to be on the sides of the missile are now ‘peeling off’?
I half-expect the paint to come off soon to reveal “ACME MISSILES INC.” stamped on the side.
The question is, do you want something like that to behave as designed, or misfire?
I have a small request – when you make the wallpaper version, can it please come in a 1920×1200 version? You do not want to know how hard it is to find wallpapers for comics / shows / movies I like that fit that resolution (my current wallpaper is stretched from 1680×1050)…
Oh, thank you. I always find that particular shade of blue so soothing considering that Presti and Mimic appear to be heading to a fiery death. Eagerly awaiting to see how they get out this one!
Well, a missile launch should bring the ‘coppers’ as well as the agents of the King (or is it Queen here, I forget). My favorite NPC thus far would have to be the Bard, I like her attitude 🙂 Hard choice though, so many well devolped npc’s
They actually never mentioned it. At this point in the commic there is Princess and what I assume is a prince who isn’t revealed as such until later on.
Mike, I love the point of view and the dramatic tension of the main subject. Bravo!
BUT…
the town below looks either like a 20th century industrial complex or American suburb. This is D&D, shouldn’t we be looking down on some sort of medieval or fantasy inspired village?
If those gray lines between the buildings are roads, and the brown ones between buildings are grass… How would one draw their horse and wagon to the houses in the middle?

The Tentacalli fortress looks a lot like an ordinary house from above.

I think the arcane symbols kinda hover in the missile’s general vicinity, rather than being painted on.
I wonder what the co-ordinates were; since magic missles never miss,,,
In space, no-one can hear your checks.
I think succeeding at every check & being unlucky is FAR worse than what usually happens to me; just failing all the time. :p
I think Prestige Perkins is my favorite of the human NPCs so far, by the way.
ok. Time to mimic a parachute or a featherfall spell.
Beautiful work by the way. Grabbing the wallpaper as soon as it comes up.

Done and done.

Ow…..that would really hurt her hand….
The girl’s got a crossbow bolt in her arm and a burned shin from a magic bolt and you are worried about how her hand feels?

I don’t make it a habit to visit the homes of squidfaces, but I would have to say, they can build their communities however they like.

You know that most people wouldn’t own those, right?
