Well, technically *Detect*Evil* is a spell you have to ACTIVELY CAST, and even then it just ‘filters your vision’; it’s the ‘litmus test’ to prove/disprove your suspicions, not an early-warning system.
But yeah, her perception is poor (bad Spot & Listen skills – thought they were Class Skills for a Bard?), even if her general wisdom is on-target.
And didn’t Rusty already eat the arrowhead of that one in the last comic?

Heh, just because they’re class skills, doesn’t mean she was wise enough to improve them. Or it could just be a bad day.
