Rusty ate the +5 battleaxe long time ago. Bard scores bonus hit on Mimic w/the Gimmick,

In Timburton Woods it’s time to go. We hate to leave, We have to, though.
In Timburton Woods, it’s time, and so
We must begin our journey in Timburton Woods

Please tell me the Gnolls ate the Smurfs so we can avoid the La-la-lalalala …

Note the slap marks by Mimic’s front pseudomass.

    Sorry. Overthinking. Must download …

Tim Burton + Sondheim (Into the Woods) = Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber … slash / blood / *burp*

Cleve-hand / gnoll … clive / barker + grinner (griner) … Savage Harvest: October Blood II … demonic possession

[tangent] (singing) October Country/Dark Carnival … Huh? Bradbury/Martian?

[re-genre] Another can of Coke. Back to work. * Will set the grue after you if her brother is Elf Bard Manilow

Oops. My bad. October Country/Dark Carnival is still fantasy/horror. Same genre. Drat. Thumbs pricking.

Man, it totally looked like a Princess Bride reference set-up for a moment there in Panel 3.

I thought so, too. “Now if only we had a +5 Wheelbarrow of Hauling…”
Side Note: A Holocaust Cloak would make a kickass D&D magic item.

Hmmm, so we meet an old friend of Mimic’s this time. Intriguing. Now I want to get to the bottom of this….

      …what?

If you’re referring to the “if your buddy isn’t here in five minutes…” line in the last comic, Roxy (the elf bard ‘client’) was REFERRING TO Mimic, as he (it?) was disguised as a tree stump and enjoying her unknowingly sitting on him/it – check out the slap-mark in panel one…

…as much as I like the twists and turns you write into this wonderful comic, Mike, you seem to be ‘going over the heads’ of a not-trivial number of readers. 🙁

Indeed. I’ve made a couple minor edits that will, hopefully, make things clearer.
