Hopefully she’s prepared to deal with a hipster. Though I wonder what form that will take… a vintage record album, can of Pabst Blue Ribbon… maybe a gift card to an overpriced terrible coffee shop?
The thing is, Maddie doesn’t have any improvised weapon skills. What she has are the powers of extreme naivete and ultimate belief. So if you handed her a soup ladle and told her it was a vorpal atlatl it would become one in her hands. Her shovel was only deadly because someone told her it was a vorpal halberd and she believed him because who would lie to a paladin.
She made pebbles into Beads of Force while dead, and no one told her it was so. Indeed, Gielgud openly said they were pebbles. This is because paladins don’t tell lies.
Cube got volleyball bumped. And that 5th panel is super creepy to look at. It’s the last thing a player wants to see and may sadly be the last thing they see literally.
For someone who claims everything is “So boring”, Ezra appears to be having a blast with all of this. All in all, she seems more primal and happier than when last we saw her. I wonder why that is.
She’s been eating rats and hiding in dumpsters so getting to have revenge on the heroes who drove her out of her castle and killed her brother is probably making her happy.
She is extremely strong (able to fight on equal footing with Madeline of all people), with unlimited regeneration. She’s not a foe they can easily beat right now.
Makes me wonder: how did she bounce Cube? He seems to have control over his body’s permeability, so shouldn’t he have just enveloped her? And, presumably, begun dissolving her? Or would he not want to do that for fear of being affected by her icky black vampire blood?
Someone could reapply the weaknesses with the right magic, maybe.
Or a skilled fighter could incapacitate her by lobbing off her head and tossing it up a mountain or the like.
She also prevented a fight with crazed derro circus-assassins, kept up the role of Princess long enough to keep the castle functioning during a siege, and got Maddie back into fighting shape after she was beaten by Grinner. She might not win fights but she’s dang good at mitigating problems as a support class.

Fighting against Gelatinous Cubes is SOOO last season.
Just follow the bouncing cube…fast !!
Cube picked the wrong day to take a break from cosplaying.
He got her from behind the first time.
He got her from behind with a katana, which was part of his samurai cosplay.
Cube is just cosplaying as a nudist today.
…
It’s a low-budget costume.
Ah, Roxy! Prepared!
Whether prepared for an undead who has immunity to many of the weaknesses of her kind is another matter, but clearly she did prepare some.
Hopefully she’s prepared to deal with a hipster. Though I wonder what form that will take… a vintage record album, can of Pabst Blue Ribbon… maybe a gift card to an overpriced terrible coffee shop?
She’s a bard, she has a lute, she’s fighting a hipster vampire… Clearly, she needs to play some terrible mainstream music.
Weirdly enough,
I think she’s looking for a bottle of sunscreen in that bag
Badger Gun? Rhinozooka? At least she’s not rummaging in a hat.
Rat pistol, for easy snacks?
This is where we need Maddie and her improvised weapon skills.
or Presti and her “Improvise Weapon” spells.
Better have some taffy in there.

I do so enjoy how things like backpacks, lutes etc. only appear when needed. It’s capturing a common TTRPG perfectly!
Or did Roxy plan it all out?!
Roxy put this backpack down in 13-10 to rest. She’s been drawn wearing it in the meeting with Rue.

Yvonne-Tiffany is not ready with an artifact to blast her.
Ezra was happy to fight before her plan got blown up. When the fighting didn’t involve having her head lobbed off, anyway.
Just because Ezra had all her vampiric weaknesses removed, doesn’t mean she’s completely invincible, right?

C’mon Roxy
This is a level-inappropriate encounter!
Roxy is a bard.
She would still be out of her league even if she would be fighting against a dirty sock!
She took down an entire pack of gnolls by her lonesome — and whittling ability.
She also prevented a fight with crazed derro circus-assassins, kept up the role of Princess long enough to keep the castle functioning during a siege, and got Maddie back into fighting shape after she was beaten by Grinner. Her self-esteem issues make a lot more sense now.
Well, they did need Malevolus’s blood for something, right?
