While hard to understand that beholder just didn’t act like a Beholder. He helped another type of race. But I like him. XD I thought it was meant to be a exagerated Scottish accent but then I remembered I saw it omewhere else and it wasn’t scottish.

The beholder’s just extending a helping eye-ray to critters it assumes to be new employees. It’s not like they’re HUMANOIDS, who are always the enemy: or (worst of all!) NON-IDENTICAL beholders, who are abominations! – Why do I suddenly see our Bonnie Lad beholder facing off against El Espectador, a beholder with a big mustachio and a Central American accent?

The Beholder isn’t speaking in Scottish, he’s speaking in Cockney Rhyming Slang. If we were to match his accent to it’s real world point of origin, he’d be from London. Specifically, the East End, where people sew pearl buttons all over their clothes and put eel jelly on their toast.

“Apples” is Cockney rhyming slang right enough, but that Beholder’s not got a Cockney accent – at a push I’d say it was Aberdonian, but it might just be “generally Scottish”.

Hope that monster’s “ettin” recently; strangers make good snacks!
