I reckon Rusty has eating preferences for metals similar to some dragons (gold dragons I believe), which consider precious metals a delicacy.
He’s probably already had the ‘main course’ of power supply and case, and just finishing off the meal with the tangy gold and silver ‘dessert’ of the electronics.
