Did Cube take levels in Rogue???? I can see his shadow behind the vampire peeking through the door and then the shadow of the sword, but the slice was perfectly silent.
Any edged weapon that’s long enough has a chance to decapitate, vorpal just makes it easier. Of course that could be the flaw in the vampire’s immortality, every blade is vorpal. (maybe the mage who cast it liked the idea of her chasing her head around the place)
I kind of like the hipster vampire. What they need to do is tie her up, get a Helmet of Opposite Alignment, and just take it off and put it on her head a few dozen times until Maddie can Detect Good.

Judging by his past performance, it would seem to be a a certainty she can come back.

Can you please link those threads since RAW a neutral good character who puts on said helm in PFS play gets listed as dead, no atonement possible.
