Imagine if that was part of the plan. Skippy’s the champion the Hells are looking for, but he didn’t want to go. Skippy *is* a he, right? If Skippy were the prodigal daughter I’d be floored.
Well, we now know that terrorizing (embarrassing) people… elves wasn’t just for fun and games, it was nourishing. Knowing why something is doing something is the first step to working out a compromise, or if necessary, dealing with it in finality.
Hey, Roxy, don’t feel so bad. All the ectobiologists I’ve ever read about just faked it ’til they made it (and a lot of other people) anyways. You’re basically one already!
To be fair, he’s more chaotic than evil. He was even willing to sit down and talk about himself. He’s reckless, and a jerk, and a ghost that feeds on negative emotions, but it’s not like he was looking to kill anyone. Sure, he had that rage outburst at the end, but that was fueled more by anger, and, well, he wouldn’t be the first ally they’ve had who’s prone to bouts of anger-fueled violence (and Roxie, being the adopted sister of Robespierre, is certainly no stranger to that). I mean, let’s look at some individuals Rusty and co. have called friends or allies:
– Princess: Habitual smoker, prone to violence, demonstrated disregard for civilians and disrespect for castle faculty (she’s getting better, thankfully)
– Robespierre: Has in the past beat up Mimic and been known to act violent out of anger (he’s getting better, thankfully)
– Stabitha Doogan: Very opportunistic, materialistic thief with a bit of prejudice towards “twicelings”; has attempted to kill a Lawful Good cleric at least once, and engaged in schadenfreude towards Presti (not completely devoid of compassion for others thankfully)
– Y.T.: Formerly Evil lamia who outright tried to kill Mimic and Presti (later turned good by the Python, seems to like it better that way, hopefully by her own choice and not magical brainwashing)
– Dirk and Kris Doogan – Thieves, skirt chasers, and implied to take work as assassins; attempted to kill a lawful Good cleric at least once; latter of the two outright released an eldritch monster after ignoring several warnings; also prejudiced against twicelings (but not enough to keep from hitting on them)
– Dorilys: Very spiteful, was willing to threaten Mimic after being left alone with him (which is a major violation of medic-patient conduct), acts highly dismissive towards Derek’s vow of nonviolence
– Heck, even Roxie has acted violent and/or like a jerk at times, even if some of it is (somewhat) justified by Mimic’s past behavior towards her
– Mimic himself is no saint, using his shapeshifting to trick women into sitting on him, and in the past being more concerned with getting loot and glory than with the moral nuances of being a hero (he’s getting better, thankfully)
Some of these guys actually are, or at least were, bigger jerks than Skippy ever was (if more limited in the damage they can do by the means available to them). So, if this motley crew of present-or-former buttheads are all capable of being reformed, redeemed, and added to the Good Guy list, what’s to stop ol’ Skipperoo here from doing similar? Just gotta give him a good reason to be Good first. Or at least Good-friendly Neutral.

Aaaand there’s the artifact. Better grab that before Ezra does.
Good point. Didn’t consider that she might be the prodigal daughter, but it makes perfect sense.
So the skateboard’s the artifact? Or the artifact’s in the skateboard?
Yes
Considering what Madeline found out about “that big skatepark in the sky”, doesn’t seem like a Good thing to avocate for…
This guy would have no problem skateboarding to safety.
“Nah, man. I heard from a bro, who heard from some dude who went up there; shit’s wack, yo, and not in a good way.”
It’s 2025 and we finally got Mimic doing a dab.
I don’t think he’s going to the sky, Roxy. The name’s -Damned- Skippy for a reason. Plus, you don’t even know if there still is a sky.
Imagine if that was part of the plan. Skippy’s the champion the Hells are looking for, but he didn’t want to go. Skippy *is* a he, right? If Skippy were the prodigal daughter I’d be floored.

“I punctuate th’ bes’ I can, okay!?”
Also: One ghost, busted.
And it made the singer feel good!
Yeah, I’d say she’s in a good mood again.
Inviting him to ride along on an interdimensional adventure is still an option. He’d be hard-pressed to find a more radical experience than that.
Would that be a good idea, considering the kind of person he turned out to be?
But they can let him harass the bad guys. A distraction they have to use magic to deal with and spend their actions is a good one!
If it works, it’s a good idea. If not, not.
But they may need someone with his skills.

Never mind whether he’s a good person or not. Mind that if he’s on an interdimensional airship with Presti, the only person he can feed on is Presti.
Now, THAT’s an issue.
Figures she would know all about rage, having been raised by barbarians.
